Lk 11:42-46

Jesus continues to chastise and challenge the Pharisees. They are pretentious and self-absorbed. Though they tithe, the Pharisees are not at all attentive to matters of justice and charity. They look out for themselves while overlooking the needs of others. Jesus also admonishes the scribes for placing heavy burdens on people without care or concern.

I pray to be less focused on myself and more attentive to others, especially those in need.
