Mk 8:27-35

Jesus has been telling his disciples not to tell anyone about his miraculous works. He wants it clear that this is not what being a disciple is about. There are radical demands. As evidenced by Peter’s rebuke of Jesus’ prediction of his passion, the disciples do not fully comprehend who he is, what he has to do and what that means for them.

I imagine you asking me, “Who do you say that I am?” Though I am not sure I fully understand the implications of any answer I might give, I do know that you will show me the way because you are the Way.
