Mk 9:30-37

The disciples hear Jesus words about his suffering and death a second time. They are afraid to ask any questions. Their concern about what Jesus is telling them is soon overshadowed by their own ambitions. Jesus uses this opportunity to reinforce what it means to be a disciple. A disciple must not be focused on himself but on the other. A disciple must know what it means to be a servant leader.

I try so hard to set aside my own concerns and worries about me, my life, my future and to be Christ to others. It’s hard. I’m human but I am yours.
