Mk 9:38-43, 45, 47-48

Jesus confronts the disciple’s pettiness. He tells them anyone who performs great works in his name is worthy. He then goes on to address that which separates them from him and his mission, specifically the sinful behavior which leads them and others away from him.

I pray today to be able to not only name and claim that which separates me from you but to be able to “cut it off” leaving it behind forever.
